Marc Brys, born on May 10, 1962, in Antwerp, Belgium, is a seasoned football manager and former player, currently serving as the head coach of the Cameroon national team.
Playing Career
Brys began his football journey as a defender, playing for clubs such as Beerschot, Wilrijk, Merksem, and Willebroek during his career.
Managerial Career
Transitioning into management in 1998, Brys has amassed extensive experience across various clubs and countries:
- Berchem Sport (2001–2003):Guided the team to championships in both the Belgian Fourth and Third Divisions.
- Germinal Beerschot (2003–2005):Achieved a notable 7th place finish in his first season and secured the Belgian Cup in 2005, marking the club's only major trophy.

Cameroon National Team
In April 2024, Brys took the helm of the Cameroon national team. Under his leadership, the team completed an unbeaten qualification campaign for the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) 2025, finishing atop Group J with 14 points. Brys is the first Cameroon coach to achieve an unbeaten AFCON qualification since his compatriot Hugo Broos, who led the team to victory in 2017.
