Cameroon's most prestigious digital media award named BDMA(Bonteh Digital Media Award) which which was launched in 2017 has suddenly become a top flight digital award not only discussed in Cameroon but Africa as a whole.

The award gathers digital actors of Cameroon origin both home and abroad. This year, 92 out of 3000 applications were selected for the 4th edition but on the 17th December, 2020 only 33 will wear a digital smile cap of their digital fingers at La falise hotel pool side event, Bonanjo, Douala-Cameroon.

BDMA 2020 brings light from the music  industry to shower the event. The performing artists like Salatiel, Sango Edi, Fhish, Ssandrine Nnanga, Danny Green, Mayohchu, Mr Melodie, Lylchryst, Lexy... will be live on stage to grace the melody of the award.

Issa Hayatou Re-appointed As CAF's New President After Serving For 30 years

Issa Hayatou, 74-year-old after serving the African Continental Soccer regulatory organ for thirty years before 2017 has been named honorary president of the Confederation of African Football.

The excutive committee of CAF on Thursday, 11th Dec, 2020 evening made the proposal from the meeting thus handing a chance to the Cameroon football administrator to return to Cairo.

The football administration icon had been out of CAF since 2017 when he lost to Malagasy Ahmad Ahmad in a shocking presidential election. By mid 2019, Ahmad was accused of corruption and embezzlement.

Hayatou comes with huge experience. He has been at the helm of FIFA’s Presidency in 2015 following corruption and financial misconducts tabled against then President Sepp Blatter who has also served for a good number of years.

The Garoua native, was in charge of the FIFA till February 2016, marked by the arrival of Italian born Gianni Infatinno emerged as president of the World Soccer governing Organ.

CAF records holds that he remains the ever long serving president of the African Soccer governing body.

Today we will see the last US non-farm payrolls of this year. Are you excited? This is your lucky chance to follow the change in the employment data of the biggest economy – be sure you are well prepared for it! 

The release is expected at 15:30 MT (GMT+2) time (13:30 CAT) . Keep in mind that there will be three indicators published at the same time: non-farm payrolls (NFP), an unemployment rate and average hourly earnings. 

This powerful combination tends to make the US currency volatile right after the announcement. According to the forecasts, the US economy added 480 000 jobs last month. 

At the same time, the unemployment rate is forecast to show yet another drop and reach 6.8%. The average hourly earnings are expected to rise by 0.1%.

Right now, the USD is swimming in the multi-year lows. Thus, the positive figures may be important for the USD bulls. 

Remember that higher NFP and lower unemployment rate will push the greenback up! The alternative scenario, however, will pull it down. Follow EUR/USD, GBP/USD, USD/JPY and gold to take the maximum advantage out of upcoming data!
