Why Cameroon is Regarded as Not Serious Over this COVID19.

How to prevent the coronavirus.

The government of Cameroon is regarded by her  30million plus citizens as not being serious during this Covid19 pandemic.

During the outbreak of the coronavirus, many countries in Africa quickly closed their boarders at all fronts but Cameroon till today still allow a few flights to enter her territory reason for the increase number of daily covid19 Cases.

Cameroon is not or unable to stop this virus because she can't order a total lockdown even for 5 days to protect her citizens. A lockdown will prevent more than 5000 cases from contracting the virus before the 15th April, 2020.

After closing all schools from nursery to university, and ensuring a grouping of not more than 50, that was a good move by the government i.e an applaud but go to the markets across the national triangle, you will be surprised. Even hundreds of thousands bruise themselves fighting for buys and sells but the government doesn't have a say.

While the other governments in Africa have contributed hundreds of billions to fight the Pandemic, Biya's government made a communique of a billion frs to combat the virus and asking for funds donations from good-will Cameroonians.

This is the best moment for Cameroon to Carter for her citizens but it isn't the case. Most funds are spent during parliamentary, municipal and presidential elections but even common hand sanitizer where the government can buy and share to her citizens as the case of party material, yet they are not able to.

The author pleads with the government of Cameroon to even reinforce 3 days total lockdown let's see how possible it is to curb the spread of this coronavirus.

How To Prevent Coronavirus
  • Wash your hand regularly.
  • Maintain social distancing.
  • Stay at home.
  • Don't touch your nose, eye or mouth.
The government of Cameroon has also been appreciated for providing social housing for the covid19 treatment, cab readjustment from 5 to 3 person.

There is no cure for covid19 as of now. Remain blessed.

Message for U.S. Citizens in Cameroon – Charter Flight Leaving Yaounde to Washington D.C.

Location:  Yaounde, Cameroon

Event:  Charter Flight available to U.S. Citizens
U.S. Embassy Yaounde has arranged a special charter flight for U.S. citizens departing Yaounde NSI Airport on Tuesday, March 31 at 4 p.m.  This flight will be direct to Washington, D.C. (Dulles International Airport), at an estimated cost of $2065 per passenger regardless of passenger age or seat location (the final cost will be announced as soon as it is confirmed).  Passengers will not be paying beforehand, but rather borrowing the cost of the flight from the U.S. Government.
All passengers must agree to reimburse the U.S. Government by signing a promissory note (loan agreement) for approximately $2065.  Only passengers who complete and sign the form will be allowed to board the plane.  No cash or credit card payments will be accepted at the U.S. Embassy or the airport.  Please fill out the attached form (DS-5528) and email the completed version to YaoundeACS@state.gov to register for the flight on a first-come, first-served basis.  If you have trouble accessing the attachment, go to eforms.state.gov and search keyword "DS-5528".
You will be responsible for any arrangements and costs (lodging, connecting flights, or local transportation, etc.) beyond Dulles Airport in Washington, D.C.

No pets will be allowed on the flight and each passenger will only be allowed one carry-on bag and two checked bags with a maximum of 46kg.  There will be no option to pay for extra services or excess baggage on the day of the flight.
The airline reserves the right to refuse boarding for any passenger.  Passengers who are displaying COVID-19 symptoms or who have recently traveled to a high-risk country may be refused boarding.
If you want to depart on this flight, please email YaoundeACS@state.gov  with full names (First, Middle, Last) as they appear in the U.S. passport, date of birth, and U.S. passport number for each traveler and the completed DS-5528 promissory note.  You are required to do this even if you have previously sent us this information.  The flights will be filled in the order that the emails are received.  Please do not call the Embassy to confirm receipt of your email; we will contact you if you are confirmed for a seat on one of these flights.

After the flight is full, subsequent requests will be placed on a standby list.  Legal Permanent Residents are also eligible to be placed on the standby list but will only be accommodated after all U.S. citizens have had an opportunity to take a seat.

Be assured that Embassy Yaounde will continue to make every effort to assist U.S. citizens who are not able to travel on this flight, but still wish to return home.  However, encourage those interested to take advantage of this opportunity quickly.

5 Solid Reasons Why Cameroonian Youths Are Very Poor

Partial view of Bastos, Yaounde-Cameroon.

A poor person is someone who doesn't or cannot meet his daily needs "Nshing Rooney". No body was born poor but there are certain practices that may help you to remain poor.

There are a good number of reasons why Cameroonian youths are very poor and may remain poor if they are not ready to change.

Cameroon Government jobs

It has suddenly become very clear in Cameroon that if you are not employed by the government, then you are poor and may not be respected in your neighborhood. Most of these jobs ranges from 150 000 frs to 250 000 frs.

When a Cameroonian youth grabs this job, they forget that they could expand their spheres of influence. The few who engage on other businesses become more wealthier.

Education System

The education milieu has pushed many student to think that the only means they can get a job is to sit in someone's office rather than creating theirs.

PhD holders keep running for classroom jobs rather than creating jobs for future students or teach them how to create their own enterprises. Youths have suddenly evaporated their confidence owing to the fact that even Doctors are jobless. When you lose hope, you are bound to remain poor.

Limited digital Education

Rather than taking the digital technology breeze of the modern days into our universities, our schools still use the industrial revolution method of learning which retards our youths from thinking at a fast pace.

They have decided not to learn and practice digital media businesses which are the highest paid worldwide.

Corruption

Bribery and corruption is a normal affair in Cameroon. While at school they are figuring out ways to buy a government job after graduation. Buying this position means those who merited that position will embark on small jobs along the streets, wallowing in poverty.

If you have the 5th reason, add it on the comment section.
