5 Solid Reasons Why Cameroonian Youths Are Very Poor

Partial view of Bastos, Yaounde-Cameroon.

A poor person is someone who doesn't or cannot meet his daily needs "Nshing Rooney". No body was born poor but there are certain practices that may help you to remain poor.

There are a good number of reasons why Cameroonian youths are very poor and may remain poor if they are not ready to change.

Cameroon Government jobs

It has suddenly become very clear in Cameroon that if you are not employed by the government, then you are poor and may not be respected in your neighborhood. Most of these jobs ranges from 150 000 frs to 250 000 frs.

When a Cameroonian youth grabs this job, they forget that they could expand their spheres of influence. The few who engage on other businesses become more wealthier.

Education System

The education milieu has pushed many student to think that the only means they can get a job is to sit in someone's office rather than creating theirs.

PhD holders keep running for classroom jobs rather than creating jobs for future students or teach them how to create their own enterprises. Youths have suddenly evaporated their confidence owing to the fact that even Doctors are jobless. When you lose hope, you are bound to remain poor.

Limited digital Education

Rather than taking the digital technology breeze of the modern days into our universities, our schools still use the industrial revolution method of learning which retards our youths from thinking at a fast pace.

They have decided not to learn and practice digital media businesses which are the highest paid worldwide.

Corruption

Bribery and corruption is a normal affair in Cameroon. While at school they are figuring out ways to buy a government job after graduation. Buying this position means those who merited that position will embark on small jobs along the streets, wallowing in poverty.

If you have the 5th reason, add it on the comment section.
