Cyptocurrencies have been trending worldwide for the past 10 years including Africa but other African countries have embraced the crytocurrencies wave more than the others. Out of the top ten African countries with the highest cryptocurrency transactions research has proven that their governments are relaxed on cryto and forex trading regulations while other countries are more stricter than before.

Bitcoin the mother of cryptocurrency is currently pricing at $31000 as we write and has been forming an ascending channel for the past 4 month. Fundamental and technical analysis foresees Bitcoin to hit $45000 before the end of 2023 (Rooney Nshing). I used three days timeframe for this forecast which has worked out perfectly for the past 5 years for me as a trader. Inclusion into the bitcoin has urged many Egyptians to join the crew as more than 4.2 million users are actively into the blockchain technology. The fiat is currently going Gaga (devalution) and users are aimed at storing their wealth in the blockchain haven while waiting for re-green of their local currency.

According to Finder.com, Ghana stands tall among the users of cryptocurrencies worldwide when it comes to adopting the cryptocurrency but the numbers holding only stands at 3.0 million. The holders as in many African countries are mostly youths dominated by men.

7. The Tanzanian new president who came in to power in 2021 after the death of his predecessor once said that the arrival of digital currencies in the East African country is inevitable and since then, figures of cryptocurrency users have steadily increased up to 2.8 million users.

8. Zimbabwe

In 2022, Zimbabwe's inflation almost depleted savings and pensions over the past decade, and a confusing stream of new currencies eroded faith in the banking sector. As a result, cryptocurrencies are particularly attractive in the country, despite much of the population understanding little of the associated risks. In 2023, more than 2.3 million Zimbabweans are using cryptocurrency.

This week, the Canadian government announced visa-free travel for 13 different countries across Asia, Africa, Central and South America.

In a statement released,  Sean Fraser, the Canadian Minister of Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship said the visa-free travel is extended to Antigua and Barbuda, St Lucia, Trinidad and Tobago, St Kitts-Nevis, Panama, Argentina, Costa Rica, Uruguay, Morocco, Seychelles, St. Vincent and the Grenadines, Thailand and the Philippines.

He said the expansion not only enhances convenience for travelers, it will also increase travel, tourism and economic benefits, as well as strengthen global bonds with these 13 countries.

“The known travelers from these countries can save a lot of money as a result of the visa exemptions.” the statement reads

A visitor visa currently costs $100 per person and $500 for a family of five or more, but an eTA only costs seven dollars per person and is valid for as long as five years.

According to the government, introducing visa-free air travel will make it faster, easier, and more affordable for thousands of travelers to visit Canada for up to six months for either business or leisure.

While North Africa’s Morocco and East Africa’s Seychelles joined the list, No west African nor Southern African country was added.

“An expansion of the electronic travel authorization better known as the eTA programs makes it easier for “known travelers” from those countries to come here for fun and business,” the statement reads.

Barcelona Ready to Sign Sofyan Amrabat From Florentina

Tranfer news as Amrabat prepares to join Barcelona
Sofyan Amrabat.

Sofyan Amrabat's incredible season has caught the attention of many of Europe's top clubs including the mighty Barcelona.

The Fiorentina midfielder, 26, has lost the final of Coppa Italia showpiece against Inter Milan 2-1 with goals by Lautaro Martinez 26 and 27th minutes respectively while Nicolas Gonzalez scored a 3rd minute goal for Fiorentina.

World Cup 2022 in Qatar and Amrabat of Morocco

This follows a World Cup campaign in which the tough tackler was one of the standout players in the tournament, inspiring Morocco to an unexpected semi-final appearance.

Ahead of La Viola's clash against Inter tonight, we explore the qualities that have made Amrabat Barca's top summer transfer target.

In a run which saw the Atlas Lions eliminate the likes of Belgium, Spain and Portugal, before providing a major test to France in the semis, the Fiorentina man stood out a mile.

Amrabat proved to be the perfect link between defence and attack. Not only does he possess the ability to win the ball, but he is a calming influence in possession.

He is also blessed with real pace. This was evident in the semi-final against Les Bleus, when he turned on the afterburners to win a foot race with Kylian Mbappe before producing a memorable recovery tackle.

It was no surprise that Amrabat found himself as a wanted man after such exploits.

Several teams were keen to sign him in January. A deal did not materialise, but if the anchorman was disappointed at the time, he will not be now.

In the second half of the season, Amrabat has been a key element in La Viola's quest for a famous cup double.

The LaLiga champions are in need of a player to replace legendary deep-lying playmaker Sergio Busquets, who will leave the club this summer.

Amrabat's agent Mohammed Sinouh recently confirmed that there was interest from both the Catalan giants and Manchester United in January.

Sinouh said: "We received many offers during the winter transfer window, including one from Manchester United, but we couldn’t finalise the deal.

"Barcelona? Fiorentina's president refused to sell him at that moment as he represented an added value after what he had done at the World Cup.

"We have no proposals for the summer, at least for the moment, but Fiorentina will listen. It's a promise they made after the president refused all offers in the winter transfer window."

That opens the door for other clubs to try and hijack the deal, with a number from the Premier League having previously been linked with Amrabat.

Aside from the Red Devils, Chelsea are also interested suitors while Arsenal, Liverpool and Tottenham have all been reported to admire the engine room operator.

Whatever happens in the two upcoming cup finals, Amrabat's days in Florence appear to be numbered.
