Coming from any country in the world gives you the opportunity to apply for the Microsoft Imagine Global student competition. The cash price for the winning team is $100,000. This skilled-based competition is between student. The imagine Cup Competition wish to extract the most innovative, passionate and a driving software built with Microsoft tools and technology.
The competition is drafted based on the country/region you represent. You are reminded to read your country/regional competition rules before registration or submitting an entry. Here are the general rules for countries that doesn't have general rules that govern their submission.
Who is Eligible
One is eligible to participate if he or she meets the following requirement at the time of entry.
Have at least 16years as of 24th October 2017 and actively enrolled as a student at an accredited educational institution that grants high-school or college/University degrees (home schools included) at the time between 24 October 2017 and 31st May. Minors must ask permission from parents before participation.
Residents of North Korea, Iran, Sudan, Syria, Cuba, and Region of Crimea are not eligible because the US prohibit the export of goods to these countries.
You/Your business has not received external funding more than $50,000 US and the business hasn't used paid employee assistance in creating an Imagine Cup entry at the time between 24 Oct and 31st July 2018
You must not be an intern or an employee of Microsoft subsidiary at the time between 24 October 2017 and 31st July 2018 considering that you are not part of the competition organisers.
You are not an immediate family member or house hold member of a Microsoft employee, an employee of Microsoft and or someone involved in the administration of the competition. How do I Enter
You begin by submitting the round one imagine.microsoft.com/compete entry once the national finals for your country is open. Deadline for different countries may vary but all is pitched not later than 31st May 2018. Countries with no national finals should complete the online finals. The submission starts on the 1st of January 2018, for the round 1 entry and deadline is the 30th April 2018.

Step 9 talks of your financial investments in your current business, your monthly expenses and lifetime revenue from the business and on the tenth section you have to talk of the business impacts; aims, challenges, business skills, impacts of business if given the opportunity to attend Tony Elumelu foundation Entrepreneurship programme and finally you have to provide an attestation which includes at least two referees.
