The Movie Lion Heart On Netflix that made Genevieve Nnaji the first Nollywood Billionaire. |
The Nigerian movie industry is classed among the best industries on earth. I don't think Genevieve will go on the contrary to what I have said. Her and her partners just confirmed the sale of her movie the "Lion Heart" to the American firm Netflix where Nnaji Genevieve is the producer and at the same time the actress in the movie.
This is a great move and a new story in the Nollywood which was recently named the most prolific movie industry in the world by the International Federation of Movies Association. Note that when Netflix consider a film as its own, they make huge advertisement, press releases and Marketing. This Nigerian movie is not the first to appear on Netflix but the first to be bought by the American platform, Netflix.
Among the Nollywood movies recently on Netflix or currently diffused on Netflix are; The Wedding Party, The Visit, When Love Happens, Fifty, Road to Yesterday, and Dearest Mummy. streamingmedia.com declared that Netflix was to disburse a sum of $3 Million to acquire full rights over the movie.
The actress and the Nigerian producer on her Instagram page appreciates what Lion Heart has brought in the industry. It's Genevieve Nnaji first film on Netflix where actors like Nkem Owoh, Phyno, Peter Okoye, Pete Edochie and Onyeka Onwenu are the main actors.
