About the Scholarship
Application Deadline: Spring deadline is the 15th of November, 2018.
Courses are available to pursue both graduate and undergraduate program.
Scholarships are awarded to learn any of the courses offered by the university.
The scholarship will reduce the student's tuition and fee cost. Housing, supplies, personal expenses, transportation, books and health insurance are not included in the scholarship.

Who is Eligible?
- All international students are eligible to apply for this scholarship.
Entrance requirements;
- Be admitted to the University of Houston and registered full-time. Students may apply for UHV before being admitted. Thus a student must be admitted as full-time before, degree seeking before before the scholarship application can be reviewed.
- Spring semester scholarship recipients will receive the scholarship only for the Spring and Summer Semesters. So students must be registered. Online course load for Summer only. All Spring recipients must re-apply for the Fall-merit scholarship before the deadline.
- Have F-1 or J-1 student visa.
- US transfer students must be in good academic and immigration status.
- Have demonstrated record of academic achievement.
- Submit the complete international student merit scholarship application form.
- Attend the mandatory international student orientation and plan to arrive at UHV five business days prior to the first class day. business days prior to the first class day.

The documents and forms must be submitted via email to international at uhv.edu with subject line "merit scholarship" paper submissions will not be accepted by the international program.
