Wfac (Women for a Change Cameroon) is currently having a three days training session from the 1st of August to the 3rd of August, 2018 in Yaounde to 35 volunteers, School Administrators under the supervision of the UN and the Cameroon's Ministry of Secondary in Yaounde.
After the training, volunteers shall be sent to schools and the society to train and educate students and the woman on Comprehensive Sex Education, Sex Related Gender Based Violence.
Why gSHE's Intervention
There are a couple of GBV activities that affect girls and young adolescents especially in the school milieu which could simply terminate the future of the student. gSHE through Comprehensive Sexual Education has been training and is still training and changing the focus of both the girl child, adolescents and Woman in the society for the past 4 years to curb this violence.
Students face a lot of challenges in secondary schools like sexual assault of all types, rejection and many others. Because of the complicity of this generation, Wfac is currently taking the initiative to teach every child about sex education and gender based violence both at home and the society.
Primary, Secondary and Universities and the society have benefited a lot from Wfac from their weekly outreach training programs by highly qualified volunteers.
During a brief interview with the Wfac CEO, she told Fly4studiesCameroon
" My main aim is to eradicate all forms of GBV in Cameroon which is a gradual process and that should be done through CSE".Follow Wfaccameroon to learn more or contact the administrator now. Connect. Support and Empower is their slogan.
