RUSSIA 2018 FIFA WORLD CUP DRAWS

Russia 2018 from 15th June to 15 July 

The football governing body FIFA yesterday the 1st of December, 2017 decided to toss a raffle draw in order to group the 32 teams into 8 groups, 4 teams in each for a smooth kick off in Russia. Each continent bring forth a number of teams where on the dday, only two teams make it to the final stage. There are concerns that black players and their families and supporters could be highly subjected to racist abuse particularly in cities apart from Moscow where behaviors are a nightmare. Every one expect the Russian federation to do its best to eliminate such acts which may not only make participants uncomfortable but also erase the sports spirit of Russia.

The world cup begins on the 14th June with the opening between Russia and Saudi Arabia at Luzhniki stadium and runs till July 15. The final day to be also held in Luzhniki.
Here are the participating countries and their groups;
Group A; Russia, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Uruguay.
Group B; Spain, Portugal, Morocco, Iran.
Group C; France, Australia, Peru, Denmark.
Group D; Argentina, Iceland, Croatia, Nigeria.
Group E; Brazil, Switzerland, Costa Rica, Serbia.
Group F; Germany, Mexico, Sweden, South Korea.
Group G; England, Belgium, Panama, Tunisia.
Group H; Poland, Senegal, Colombia, Japan.

Each continent has come up with a big surprise in terms absences in the 2018 Russia jamboree. The North American giant, the United States are absent in Russia 2018 while Italy to the other end in Europe is making a u-turn from Russia as well. In Africa, the Ivory Coast and Cameroon are absent. This also gives an advantage for new world cup comer countries to also boost their talent.
The 16th round means 16 teams are packing their respective logages to their various countries. On the 8 round, only 8 teams will remain to play the quarter finals before the final 4 takes on the semifinals. Here 2 teams must halt for the other 2 to carry the day come 15 July in Luzhniki in Russia.
A final decision may be taken after the final on which country to host the 2022 world cup though Qatar was the favorite. The football governing body have been facing a lot of challenges on the Qatar 2022 hosting due to a couple of issues on frauds associated to its future hosting.
